A Space craft leaves Earth on a mission of exploration hoping to find our next home. On returning to earth many years later the crew find a massive 1,00000+ human capacity abandoned space station that was not there before they left also noticing the earth blacked out with no electricity or communications. With no other means of contact with earth and the space craft being irradiated from deep space exploration a earth landing would seem a unattainable goal.
