Ten years in the making, we follow the coming of age of two South Central L.A. high school kids as they use their musical talents, dreams and ambitions to try to beat the odds innately against them. Their only hope comes from their incredibly determined teacher who personally understands failure is not an option, and while enlightening these students receives his own music lesson in that one can learn much about survival just by teaching those who need it most.
