Ave Rats Lost Downtown

Ave Rats Lost Downtown (2012)

This is a documentary about the orphaned and homeless teens in Seattle nicknamed Ave Rats. For years The Ave in Seattle has been a haven for homeless youth. The population and services available to the kids has changed dramatically over the years. Most of the kids have been forced into downtown Seattle by changes in University policy. We will follow several young people fighting to make their way and survive. We will ask the kids about the system and what can be done to help them transition into the adults they want to be. We will also hear from those who have escaped the street. Will the kids we follow make it off the street?
