Jaz Sem Janez Jansa

Jaz Sem Janez Jansa (2012)

A name... Everybody has one. The documentary discusses the role of one's name in private and public life, exploring the problem of homonimity and reasons fr changing one's name. The film draws references from history and popular culture, leading us to the case of three artists who officialy changed their names to that of the leader of the conservative Slovenian Democratic Party, the Prime Minister of Slovenia, Janez Jansa. This act blurred the boundaries between their lives and art in numerous and unforseen ways, and provoked a variety of enterpretations among the general public and in art circles in Slovenia and beyond.
